"Rank, the casino and bingo hall group, slipped ¼ to 89¾p despite Guoco, the Malaysian leisure group, increasing its stake to 10pc. Genting, another Malaysian gaming group, has an 11pc stake in Rank. There has been long-running speculation that either company could mount a bid in an attempt to get hold of Rank's lucrative casino licences."
