"Stockbroker WH Ireland ticked up 1 to 115p even though it revealed that bid talks with suitor Blue Oar Securities had ended. Blue Oar, which closed down ¾ at 14½p, insisted that it remained "interested in pursuing a potential acquisition of WH Ireland" and was still seeking to "meet with the board of WH Ireland on an amicable basis"."
